Border Collie needing urgent home in Scotland

Just had this posted on our training club forum.

Would anyone be interested/able to help? I would love to but my parents are very anti collie

Have minimal information but have suggested breed specific rescue and more info.

"Border collie a year old (male) has 2 weeks to find a new home or he's getting put to sleep
think from what i was told the dog has nipped an 8 year old child (think the child tried to take a toy of the dog) sounds like the dog is being dominant and does not like anything being taken from him."

2 weeks isnt a lot of time to find him a new home but Hopefully someone will see his potential

have you tried border collie rescue? I dont have the details but my friends were in a similar situation trying to save a dumped dog (they had 4 so couldnt take on another) and they were really good

I really would hope they would try get him in rescue. They say they spoke to Dogs Trust and because he had nipped they wouldnt accept him. So think they gave up on the idea after that. Feel so sorry for the misunderstood tyke

Will pass on all of the details use have given me really appreciate.

the scottish BC rescue would probably foster him at least.

Also if no one comes forward to take him how about seeing if somone will foster him until they find him a 'forever home'?
(I dont think I could with my male..)
