Thanks a bunch!

walking my dogs in locla park yesterday rules state that dogs to be kept on lead but yet again another numptie walking theirs off lead! my son was attacked last sunmmer by a dog off lead so i yet again reported this person (cameras all over park to prove what they did) now council are soo peed off they are now talking about making it a dog free zone!!!!
if they walked just a few metres from back of park there is a field the farmer has allowed for dogs to run free as long as you pick up the mess so its just bloody laziness

The dog wardens have been in our local park a lot recently, problems with out of control dogs, fouling etc. There are two very small signs saying 'dogs to be kept on leads at all times', but folk always have. I have walked dogs in there for over 30 years and most folk are responsible(many of them older dog owners) who enjoy a walk with their dogs. A lot of folk walk early morning and don't go into children's play area. There is no where else near by for many without transport to take their dogs and let them off lead. It really annoys me and others that it is dog walkers that use the park the most yet we have to walk through broken glass, litter, food remains, dog and human fouling I am sorry your son was attacked and hope he is ok now. Things here seem to be getting more 'anti dog', sounds like is the same in other areas too. There are no cameras in the park but the money spent on the annual firework display would be better spent on a park warden, sorry to rant

I get fed-up with people who seem to think the rules don't apply to them! I was saying this about one man who never cleaned up after his Springer Spaniel and looked at me like I was a bit of dirt when I offered him a spare poo-bag, it is people like him who are the reason why I can't take my 2 well-behaved (most of the time!) dogs to so many places.

Still it was quite satisfying when I tracked down where he lived and he had a visit from the Dog Warden and a talk about the responsibilities of dog ownership. Funnily enough he never walked the dog after that-his Mum did instead. Twice I had stood in his dog's poop and I clear up after 2 dogs so was very annoying.

Sorry to hear about your son being bitten-I hope he wasn't badly hurt or put off dogs?

In one of our parks in Norwich we have a sensible sign saying "Please control your dog-if it does not obey you keep it on a lead". If everyone did that we would all be happy.

I saw a British Waterways sign that went something like "please do not allow your dogs to foul here - teach them to go at home"...!!!

bit like sitting on the back of the bus in the deep south, sorry to hear about your son and i hope you involved the police, i do challenge what i see as anti dog laws by councils so i have to admit to letting my dogs off on leads only parks to provoke a response from the authorities, i hate having to pay for the sins of others when i pay as much towards the upkeep of local authority play areas.
I ask everyone to challenge these dog bans locally as they are becoming more common in both parks and walks, sensibly we managed to convince the local council that the kids did not need the whole park for themselves so we managed to get a fair amount set aside for off lead running with plenty of signs informing parents.
Starting to feel like a smoker these days when out with my dogs, pathetic world that we live in.
