Kennel cough

I picked my 10 month old pup up from kennels last night and he has been coughing this afternoon. He is vaccinated against kennel cough but the vet said there are different strains that they can still get.... if he is still coughing tom I will be taking him to the vet to get antibiotics (on the vets advice) but i was wondering if anyone has any ideas of anything I can give him to make him feel better in the mean time
Hate seeing him coughing like this and its got worse through out the evening
Thanks in advance

Baby Benylin cough mixture, this will ease his throat, and keep him quieter. Make sure he has plenty of water, if he wants it, gentle exercise and keep his food on the soft side. The kennel cough has different stains and your boy will only be protected against one strain. Just like us with flu. He will be infectious to other dogs until the cough goes, you might find he will bring up white froth. I do hope he is better soon.
