I don`t give any supplements. I tried adding veggies but the dogs refused to eat them.
They do have cottage cheese or sardines in with their meat or fish sometimes, but that`s it. I feed a varied diet (mince, organs, chunks of meat, bones, fish fillets).
What`s the vinegar for?

Ours get veg (which they LOVE) vitamin E capsule, evening primrose capsules and recently we started adding SA37 powder to their tripe. we had tried this before but they refused to eat we thought we would try again and they all eat with It added.. no problem.

I was advised once to add apple cider vingar to our dogs water bowls, to help with tear staining.. It didnt work. But swapping straight to raw did.

I dont give any supplements, sometimes a bit of veg and egg shells, but I feed a very varied mixture of meats minced and tripe most nights and chicken carcases or lamb bones in the morning.

Some people feed raw, veggies and supplements and their dogs do great on it.

Some people feed raw and veggies without the supplements and their dogs do great on it.

Some people feed raw and don't complicate things with veggies and supplements and their dogs do great on it.

Personally I'm in the last group. Approx 80%meat, 10%bone, 10%organ, though that's just a rough guide. I do give my dogs fish oil since intensively reared meat lacks it; and they don't like eating oily fish to help. I take fish oil myself for the same reasons.

No other supplements should be needed, unless your dog has a specific problem that you feel would benifit for what ever reason.

If you are giving Apple Cider Vinegar get the unpasturised stuff from the health food shop, not the stuff the supermarket sells.

I give mine salmon oil on alternate days and 1-2 vitamin E cap/s weekly. I also give her yoghurt before meals and add raw veg to her meals. She gets fruits like berries too.
