Pork Mince?

I picked up some pork mince in the reduced to clear the other day but have no idea what to do with it (i'm sure i've posted this before but couldn't find the thread).

I can only think of burgers or meatballs but don't fancy either of those so was hoping you guys would have some recipes involving pork mince!

Errrrrrr nah! Sorry, but I had the same problem when I bought some once, and then decided the only thing I could make was sausages, and then decided I might as well have just bought a pack of those!!!!

What about rissoles? My mum used to make those and I think those were made out of pork mince?? Check it out on Google, I used to like those!

That'd be my answer too infact, I was frying a pack for my two this morning as I'd nabbed a bunch from the reduced aisle.

I'm not giving it to the dog! That's a waste of good meat!

Last time i had some pork mince, i made a kind of cottage pie but with pork but was looking for something more summery to cook using it.

Maybe a make a chili con carne? I'm sure I've used pork mince for it in the past, tastes pretty much the same as the beef after the addition of the spices.

I was going to say that, or a sort of shepherds pie.

It's probably too late now, but I've made Thai pork and prawn toasts before. They're really scrummy!

Ants Climbing Up the Trees

4 oz noodles
3 ounces minced pork
1/2 chilli
1 clove garlic
1 slice ginger
1 stalk spring onion
*** seasonings -- (pork) ***
1/2 tablespoon light soya sauce
1/2 tablespoon cornflour
1/2 tablespoon sherry
few shakes of pepper
few shakes sesame seed oil
*** SAUCE ***
6 ounces water
1 teaspoon chilli sauce
2 tablespoons dark soya sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
few shakes pepper
few shakes sesame seed oil

Preparation:

Cook noodles.
Season minced pork and marinate for 5 minutes.
Chop chilli, garlic, ginger and spring onion.
Heat 3 tablespoons oil in the wok, stir-fry minced pork, add chilli, garlic, ginger and sauce. Add noodles to sauce mixture and mix well, stir fry until sauce is well absorbed by the noodles, sprinkle in a few drops of sesame oil and chopped spring onions, serve.

--------------
Dunno why it's called that - some weird Chinese idea, but it's lovely. Can also be used as a novel spaghetti sauce.
