Weeing indoors

Thanks to all the good advice on Dogsey our seven month old westie seemed to have 'got it' at last but now seems to have regressed!
We make sure we watched for all the signs and time everything right to let her out into the garden at the right time and she has been really good and gets lots of praise for weeing and pooing outside. Two or three times though I would let her out and wait ages and ages for her to wee and she would just stand there and do nothing. Eventually she would have to come back inside. Straight after coming back in though she would make a puddle!!
Suggestions please? Thanks!

Hi Robin are you going out with her and staying with her every time, do you take her a short walk to an area frequented by other dogs to stimulate her to go.

Giving a high value treat like a tiny piece of chicken or cheese and lots of praise whenever she relieves herself will make it a rewarding experience for her and one she will wish to repeat. Once she is clean give the treats randomly then not at all but always give praise. You can also add a prompt word when she is in the middle of relieving herself so that she associates the word with the action, I say 'beclean'. Then when she goes treat/praise and once learnt this word can be used to prompt her to go.

Is she spayed, has she been in season , if not she be coming in season. This can cause her to urinate more frequently or there is a slight possibility she could have a urinary tract infection (this would make her go more frequently usually small amounts of urine at a time ).

Is she actually standing by the door asking to go out? because if she isn't giving some kind of cue that she needs to go out, she hasn't 'got it' just yet.

I would try taking her out on lead each time and physically walk around with her until she goes.
