Child's pet sheep among 15 ewes killed by dogs near Wrexham

http://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/nort...5578-25692894/

it's not the only incident recently

Officers are appealing for information after two separate attacks on sheep in the Pentney area.

The incidents are believed to have taken place at two different locations in the village on Monday, 1 February.

One sheep that was heavily pregnant with two lambs was sadly killed during the attack.

The second sustained nasty injuries to its back resulting in costly veterinary fees.

Officers believe that a dog is responsible for the attacks.

A number of reports have been received from villagers stating that two dogs have been seen roaming the Pentney area.

The first is described as:

* a cross breed of white, brown and black in colour

The second is described as:

* a Lurcher-type cross with a black coat

Police have made enquiries into the owners of the two dogs and would be interested in hearing from any other residents who may have witnessed any dogs loose in the village recently.
