Rural talk?

Does anyone know if there is a board or forum designed for rural type chat about farming, countryside living etc?

I would be grateful if you could PM me if you do know of one.

Thanks.

Some of the border collie forums have sections for herding and livestock management

or you can chat here, I know nothing but I would love to hear it!

Thanks for the ideas so far.

Unfortunately the Farming UK one is very technical, so not really what I was looking for.

Haven't seen the countryfile one, but will have a look now.

Is there anyone else on here who might be interested in a rural chat section? (I could always badger Azz to start one)!

I would be up for that, I always feel a bit strange when posting photos of the cows and sheep on the dog sections lol

I believe there is something called downthelane which is more about smallholding (veg growing/chickens etc) but might be more the style? I've never looked TBH just heard about it. And maybe those on there would know?
Oh and River Cottage of course.

I think it would be great if we had enough interest to open its own section, but it isn't looking too likely at the moment There are obviously only a few of us who are country bumpkins on here

Shona - have your friends finished their lambing now? How did it go? Many pet lambs?

We don't start until the middle of April, but we are scanning tomorrow and Monday, so it will give us an idea of how many twins we are expecting.

I'd love a "rural section", I'm a serious country girl inspite of being forced into moving into town!

Perhaps Azz could start a "Over 18s, under 100's, love dogs, quite like cats but would rather look at pics of farm animals" forum?!
