Mad Dog Walkers Have Nice Dogs!

I had a lovely walk in the snow round the country park today. It was absolutely full of dog-walkers. We were all bundled up with just eyes showing, hunched against the snowfall and determinedly marching our joyful dogs around. Every single dog we met (20? 25?) was well-socialised and busy, happy to greet and go on their way.
Normally we meet at least one snarling horror, but it seems they don`t go out in a blizzard.
Has anyone else noticed that the people braving the Polar conditions have nice dogs?

usually yes, but today I went on the beach and there were only two other dog walkers I met - one with a Golden retriever one with a Lab - both eejits (the owners). All dogs off lead and milling about until the other dog owners had kittens as soon as they saw Dan

And he's not in other dogs faces or anything, and he wasn't barking or being silly either. Some people just aren't used to seeing dogs bigger than theirs I guess and they panic. The first woman tried to send Dan away by throwing biscuits at him . Dan was saying thanks missus I'm following you now! It's rare we meet muppets in this weather though!

This is why I love walking at the park in the pouring rain... Only "proper" dog owners are there

Lol. that made me chuckle. its like when your dog homes on into someone that doesnt like dogs. the more they push them away, the more the dog comes back to them!

I tell ya I have a dog friendly dog and still avoid the majority of people and dogs unless I am forced to converse on a narrow path....and you ain't missing much on average....I think a quick wave or acknowledgment is sufficent then leg it...

Nope, you`ll still find me and my "snarling horror" out in all weathers!!

Yep. same here, proper dogs walkers will walk in ALL weathers , with their dogs, , some have nice friendly ones some have snarling horrors!!

Infact in my experience, "proper" dog walkers will own dogs from one end of the spectrum to the other.
