I switched from M&S to Co-Op a couple of years ago. They gave a good quote and their customer service is excellent.

All depends what you want really I trained house and motor insurance for 10 years and covered over 24 different policies in that time and they all offer different cover.

The problem with house insurance is that there are many different sections, all with their own exclusions etc so many people think that they have cover until they come to claim and then find out that the item/s are excluded somewhere in the policy wording (and it could be in several places )

Lots of insurance companies include a downloadable policy wording on their website so if you let me know who you are thinking of going to and what you really want from a policy I'll have a look for you if you like. I can at least point out the pitfalls so you can make an informed choice
