Show off dog owners

A few times now i have been walking my woofs when i have seen a man with a springer work his dog what i dont know is why he feels the need to be in the most public place on the common to do it in .lol

Do you mean retrieving a dummy? I "work" my dogs in this way when walking too - tires them out and they love it!

It wouldnt be the first time Ive done heel work in Tescos carpark .....................perhaps he is training using distractions.

Im sure he is entitled to train his dog wherever he chooses, he may feel you are the one that is annoying him, distracting his training!

If he fully intends to work his dog and it's only young, he may be choosing the park as there will be no scent of game. He doesnt want it to start hunting and following scent when he needs to instill basic obedience and steadiness first. The local park is a recommended place to dummy train a gundog.

Furthermore, it's a good place to teach your dog to ignore distractions. I'm sure he's far more focused on training his dog than he is watching who's admiring him.
