Dogmatic Headcollars

Has anyone got any experience of the dogmatic headcollar?

Star has a halti which is rubbing her face quite badly so much so it is bleeding so I am looking for an alternative.

If anyone knows of any other headcollars could you let me know please.

hi carole,
we had one for our old choc lab monster, who was so strong he used to pull our arms out before. They are expensive but worth every penny, but do they do them to fit boxers short noses, silly question i know but his was quite a long strapped collar!!

hi carole

:smt039

dudley use to pull and a couple of times made himself sick. i enquired on another forum and was recommended to use the gentle leader, seem to think the webbing is softer over the muzzle.

he has never slipped out of it and whilst trying to perfect the heelwork its been a godsend as he got out of the habit of pulling.

though when there are leaves, fluff or cyclists we still bounce

hope this helps.

i hope with age and training he will always be on his normal collar. he looks so cute walking to heel, though when he decides to pull he goes for it.

Hi, I used a gentle leader before the halti and it rubbed too, thats why I am looking at a leather headcollar.

I emailed them with Stars details and measurements and am waiting for them to get back to me about whether they are suitable for boxers.

sorry Carole, no help ops:

a friend uses a harness on their boxer but i was never sure. my breeder advised against and i worry if they would hurt joints whilst the dog is developing.

oh dear not laughing too much :smt044 :smt044

bet it was a sight,
:smt003

i walked across a road tonite and there was a massive puddle and dudley tried to leap over it, he doesnt like getting his ickle pinkies wet not sure what the bloke in his garden thought the dog was doing, i had to giggle.

we once tried to see if he would step in a stream with about 1 inch of water, nope was not having it.

they are very entertaining.

he's managed to snot over my clean second bedding which is now in the wash, no one sleeps in there and every week i end up doing our bed and that one......

its cos he likes looking out of the window

They make you laugh dont they

Star likes to run through puddles and drink at the same time. She even likes to paddle in the pond at the park.
