And Misty-pup ... you are welcome to come on any of the walks we organise
I know you can't drive, but do you have any good walks local to you where we could come to you?
Thanks Kirsty, it did make me feel good watching them playing and running together, no rough stuff, and as you say, all that socialisation has really paid off, and that one encounter with an aggressive staffie hasn't done any damage from what I can see with Zena

You and your gorgeous doglets deserve the positive praise too xx
Thanks Berger, I wish it would happen more often, but I rarely meet anyone up there, but to have all of those in one go to walk with was fantastic for Zena
Georgie just did his plodding along beside me with his nose firmly fixed on that old goldie in front!

I bet you do H, but at least they have each other hey. Surely they both run around together when on your lovely walks in the forests? I hope so anyways.
Lol! It's early enough Vicki when you don't really have to be out at that time! I used to have to be a 5.30/6.00 am. but now I can have a lie in till 6 coz I don't work!

Thanks Elaine, she really was a good girl, it must have been quite frightening to have that very boistrous husky chasing her around, her tail was really tucked underneath her when she came running back to me, but she soon started playing with him

I'm glad you are getting soooo much positive feed back babe . . . x x x x x x x
I've had that myself, but not through a dog not coming back, but because she was aggressive, and that's why I was adamant that Zena would stay as friendly as she was the day I got her, which I'm happy to say she still is!

It really was a nice change Lynn, from having to stop and put their leads on for fear of Zena getting attacked, coz being the age she is, I really do have to watch out on her behalf, I don't think she understands yet that not all dogs are friendly. When she's older, she's gonna have to find out for herself if ever we meet up with one, I can't cotton wool her forever, but I can sure keep her out of trouble if possible.
This morning a friend was waiting for me with her little 4 month old whippetX coz he adores Zena and they run around like mad together, so I put away Zena's ball, and for the entire walk those two just ran, and ran and ran, especially in that long grass, although the seeds are coming off now, so I've got to be careful about those crazy Zena ears haven't I! She must be totally knackered now, but no, as soon as we get home, she wants to go out in that garden
They didn't stop running for the entire half an hour's walk either! He was always up front zig zagging this way and that, and Zena copied him from behind, and when he stopped, she was so very careful not to tumble him or tread on him, so it's all good for her training to know how to play properly instead of playing rough all the time with old Georgieboy just coz he puts up with it!
Long may this positive experience last, there ARE some very nice people with some very friendly dogs out there thank goodness!!!
