Omg!

We used to meet up quite offten with a guy on our walks who had a big gorgeous softy of a rottweiler called Nester. The guy was looking after him for a while, and last we heard he'd gone back to his owners.

Well I don't know why, but I just had a look on a local rescue site, and guess what, I've just found Nester there. They had a baby, so naturally the dog had to go.

Grrr, it just makes me so angry. He is such a lovely well behaved dog, doesn't deserve that. I'd take him tomorro but don't think I'll be allowed, me mam's not to keen on rotty's.

i will never understand why dogs have to be put up for rehoming just because a child comes into the family....

i had 3 small kids (youngest 6 month old) and lived in a flat first floor when i got my dog
sadly she died last year aged 11 ....RIP Dina ....
i really dont understand this...
hope he finds a home which he deserves !!!!

I'll never understand it either, you don't put your first child up for addoption just because you've got a new baby.

Thats so sad, such a shame when a baby comes and the dog leaves.

I really hope that he finds a forever home with someone who loves him forever

I was part of a happy ending to such a story. The people paid $400 for a chocolate Lab threw him in the garage for a year and then palmed him off on her mother to find a home when she got pregnant. Our shared vet put them in contact with me. I took him and worked with him for 2 weeks and dropped him off at the dog guide school. They trained him, and he is now working as a dog guide.

Some people just don't deserve to have dogs. Hopefully, Nester will find a new loving forever home soon - no less than he deserves!

Thats great that you were able to help that dog.

The thing I really don't understand is that they had obviously taken the time to train and socialise him to a high standard, just to throw it all away.
