Funnily enough, we were discussing this today. One of my Parsons often has a hair across his eyeball and my son could'nt believe that the dog is totally oblivious to it. So I guess it does'nt irritate a dog like it does us.

Hiiaa,
I have a shih tzu and honestly he gets hair in his eye all of the time.
Ofcourse it hurts them and its irritating them however they cannot get the hair out of their eye themselves so please if they have hair in their eyes remove it as the hair can have bacteria on it and should it get in their eyes they can get infected as the worst case senario.

We just get a piece of soft toilet roll and then just gently wipe them away.

Good Luck xx

I never thought whether it hurt them or not, I just presumed it did.

I used an eye-wash pod from my school once on Benson when he had grass in his eye...did the job.
