Ozzie, short-legged 18 month old JRT needs home!

History: Born with back deficit. Run over Feb 08. 5 homes. Ozzie arrived on our doorstep a frightened lad. Since he has had a seaside holiday, then a hip operation to remove pain and create easy movement. Ozzie is versatile and ready for his home.

Salient points: Lovely Jack temperament, but requires respectful children and not too busy a household. Insurance cover will be an issue, so funds required to secure him treatment should he need it in the future. Currently signed off from our vets. Easy mixer. Best not to do stairs and series of steps. Lifted into car and secured in a travel crate.

Advert: Ozzie is a different dog to the frightened mixed up and very sad Ozzie, delivered to kennels. He has received the best vet care and had a hip operation which he is now benefiting from and is much happier in himself. He must have been in pain, a delight to witness him running and skipping around. He enjoys his walks, but can refuse, probably due to fear as the memory of pain can't be far. He will gradually adjust and does prefer grass walking to pavement walking. We are so happy Ozzie came to us and we have been able to correct his problems and are now looking for a wonderful family who are sensitive to his needs and enraptured by his innate gifts. Fostered in with another dog near Caterham Surrey.

Ozzie Clark! the footballer ... the 'fun' Jack, who is now looking for a caring home who are there for him and can offer him a good life, and he in return will entertain and blossom. He is now stabilised, being left with a disability rather than a deteriorating disease. Ozzie has a slight awkwardness in his walking pattern, shown pronounced prior to his op. in the video on his individual thread, via our forum. Providing his lifestyle isn't too demanding he is just fine! Ozzie's challenges were at the start of his life, and now he can enjoy his long life ahead and offer his family companionship and all the love in the world in return. Ozzie captures the heart, not out of sympathy, but due to his calm character. Well until he has his moments when you have to stand back and watch him racing around with glee!
