Do you find some breeds age more than others

I know a lot depends on size etc but does anyone find that certain breeds age (in terms of mobility etc) more than others?

I think the bigger ones do show signs of age sooner, I'm gonna be a bit more specific here lol, I would say 22 inches and above do show signs of stiffness getting up sooner than the wee ones do, but I'm sure there will be lots of contradictory evidence to my answer on here, I haven't much experience with small dogs so only going on the larger ones I have had and the older smaller ones I meet whilst out walking xx

I find that Siberians keep their youth, my Beanie won his 10th CC just before his 10th Birthday and one of the breeds early champions gained his title at the tender age of 12

Basenjis are a very youthful breed, having said this, I visited Moet's breeder and hadn't seen his litter brother for some time, they were both getting on by then, Moet didn't look at all old, no grey etc, but his litter brother looked ancient. Moet was the first one from the litter of three to pass over but he did have liver cancer.

Well as far as BC's go, they seem to be ''hardy'' our old girl didn't show signs of stiffness until she was 15yrs. Lived till 23.

the one before was 18 before she died, her stiff hips/legs weren't apparent till 14

That is brilliant
there is a collie down the road from us, goodness knows what age he is , but god love him he still wanders the side of the woods everyday, has a wee rest then starts again, I must stop and ask what age the next time I see him, a real old gentleman

Boxers tend to be grown-up puppies then 'go' suddenly into old age (and a lot of the time, illness)
