Woody the re-hab friend!

Am so pleased with our little man.

I met up with a friend yesterday for a walk, who owns a GSD and a Dobe.

Woody has never met them before but behaved lovely around them even though the dobe bitch can be abit off sometimes with pups and the GSD plays abit rough. He just knew to give her her space and play slowly with the GSD.

Anyway. Woody and I have met up a few times with a rescue staffie who was petrified of everything and didn't know how to be with other dogs when we first met her. They got on so great the owners asked if they could socialise her with him. He's such a laid back little guy and played so nicely with her that they soon became friends.

Well, we bumped into her yesterday and she was a different dog!!

She played lovely with all of them and just seemed so happy and relaxed. Now clearly this isn't all down to Woody but her owner did say that he was really grateful to us for using Woody to show her how to behave with other dogs and that if it wasn't for him they're not sure they would have had the confidence to let her off the lead with other dogs so early on.

Really lovely story and am so pleased with my little Man Cub ;o)

Oh well done Woody. I think it is so lovely when dogs can play nicely together. Gelert is so very timid with other dogs that she has never actually played with any, she is so busy keeping out of the way.

That's brilliant, Pidge. Well done to you and Woody.

Roxy is sometimes used as a stooge dog as she's incredibly good natured and seems to know how to behave around dogs who are not sure of the situation.

Well done Pidgy - I think Woody has done a great job and you can be rightly proud of him, and FWIW I firmly believe a dog reflects his owners attitude to life and you are to be congratulated for that too.

ahh that's a nice story. Monty had lots of help to learn to play nicely and not go in feet first with other dogs and it's lovely to see.

Good old woody, he's a star!!
