Next dog...

im planning on getting another dog in approx 4 years (i know its absolutely ages away!) i finish uni then and am moving out...

i personally want a KC reg dog, from a proper breeder, i have no idea what breed(or 2 ) yet to be honest.... but how long should i leave it until i start emailing - asking round/ researching??? im thinking of waiting lists as i know these can be a couple.few years long sometimes??

Have you decided on a breed?

Four years is probably a bit soon to be put on most waiting lists (and an awful lot can happen in four years!), so I would start seriously looking and contacting breeders about 12 months-18 months before I wanted to bring a pup home.

thought i was too soon

my reserach will definately take at least 2..... as i have no idea for example where im going to live - next to fields/beaches etc... sounds daft but i think something like this can reflect the breed i will get

i wuold love suggestions as i think i would prefer a completely different breed,,, not abc sadly as i dont think that would fit in with my lifestyle then...!

i will start researching now and asking lots of q's.... i
