Healing Dogsey thoughts for my poorly piggie

Came home today and my OH tells me Ginger wasn't looking very good.
They live in his office and Ginger was huddled down in his hay.
His bottom was all wet and protruded.
He lives with his brother Pigsey and they are about 4 1/2 years old.

I gave his back end a warm bath, in case that was wee on his skin and googled him.
I think it is an anal impaction and I helped him get rid of it..... much to OH's disgust. He did look a bit better and will look again tomorrow.
I will also get some vitamin drops tomorrow until he is eating properly again as he is usually the biggest as is a real piggy but has lost so much weight.

I hope this will sort him as it says elderly boar piggies can live with a bit of human help with this condition.

Gingey is on the right...

Aw poor Ginger I had a piggy with the same problem he was about 6 when it occured and lived till the ripe old age of 8 so it never bothered him. You just need to keep an eye on him and clear any impactions. Think theres a dietry list somewhere that can help but been a while since i had my piggies but might be worth googling
