Poor Shamus. (What do you do with a cut paw?)

Poor Shamus the Pointer, who doesn`t bear pain well, has a cut on his pad. He`s nibbled his sock off so I`ve left it.
It`s not very deep and is clean. Any tips on healing? I`m keeping him indoors till it`s closed.

awww sorry to hear about Shamus but as Ramble said, i would probably keep it dry and clean. I also wouldnt let him out side for a few days, only for his toilet business, if he does go outside just make sure you clean it when he comes in. Should start to heal pretty soon

I like to bath in salt water and then dry thoroughly to clean it if we did go out and about. If he isn't nibbling it then no reason why you need a sock on it

He is rather handsome isn't he
