Fudge just eaten whole chicken carcass!

Well just got back from doing the school drop off and in the 6 minutes I was out Fudge had managed to pull the big kitchen bin over, and raid last night's chicken carcass.

I have phoned the vet and have to go and pick up some liquid paraffin which will hopefully ease it through. I have also got to feed her Hills for 24 hours in small meals. She is to be closely monitored for the next 24 hours for any signs of tenderness or blood in poo etc......

Anything else anyone can think of that might help the situation?

Mine used to do this on a regular basis before someone told me cooked chicken bones were dangerous. I`d just keep an eye out for signs of a blockage.

My little dog did this a while ago. I gave her bran, like a handful mixed with warm water every few hours just to help bulk her poops so the bones would go through easier. I dont know if it worked but she had no problems

Mine have eaten cooked chicken carcasses tons of times...they have also eaten far worse and been fine.

Just keep an eye out and don't worry about it.

No advice Rachel as I've never owned such a naughty dog ....(just kidding).

Mine once got hold of a carcass, I wasn't sure who had eaten it, I just made up some porridge and got them all to eat that, just to ease any bones through their systems. I was very lucky that there were no problems. I always put carcasses right outside out of their reach from then on.

Hope she will be ok xx
