Today in the front garden

I finished planting up the rockery with another 10 plants and when Paul came home we went and got some slate chippings (plum coloured) and we laid it all down as a mulch.
The slate is lovely, dark plum when wet, lilac when dry..

So now our rockery is completely finished.. it only needs the plants to grow, fill out a bit and flower!

here's the pics

It looks fab.

I have just finished our back garden path which now looks very rustic with the chippings. I'll get some pic's tomorrow as it's dark now.

You've both done a wonderful job xxxxxxxx

Thanks x

and Dani, we chose the plum to match the highlights in a couple of those rocks, and some of the flowers. Sadly the photos don't show the glints in the rocks - but, you get the idea.

Looking forward to seeing your pics mom, I am really enjoying these gardening threads

thats why we went for the green as we have a greenish stone path to our front door.

I think the plum looks smashing !! it just wouldnt go with our path.

That looks lovely Pat..I can't wait for the piccies once the flowers all come out.

We have the lilac and green chippings in between the occasional slabs and they look lovely when its been raining.

We have a corner in our garden that I would like to make into a rockery...hope you don't mind if I pinch some of your ideas xx

Sheree, you pinch away if you see anything you like. I look at loads of gardens when I am out walking Missy and I get ideas from all of them.
It'll come out your own, anyway. Every person I know who gardens changes things as they go
