Supplements for scurfy coat

I have groomed Ollie this afternoon and noticed how scurfy his coat has become over the last few days since grooming him at the end of last week.

He is groomed at least twice a week and at least once a week has his undercoat raked out.

He does have sunflower oil every evening meal to help his coat but seems he may need something more and I was wondering what people may use.

He hasn't suffered this before.

Any ideas gratefully received.

Have you tried him on salmon oil or evening primrose oil? The skin specialist recommended them to us for D's skin.

I have been giving Luchia Virgin Hemp Oil, and her coat is lovely. Before this I did notice the odd flaky skin, so think it has helped a lot.

Viacutan, you can get it online, it's full of essential oils for the most silky skin and coat, but you won't see ANY effect for about a month, but well worth the effort!

Otherwise, Fish4Dogs do just about everything with all the Omega oils in, but the Viacutan has a lot more that's all, and it's about £24 a spray can, but you only put it in food once a day and it'll last over a month.

When Georgie's coat went all wiry and his skin was bad, I found it worked brilliantly, it turned his awful coat into a luxury coat just like Zena's!

Thank you all for your great suggestions.

I have had a look at them all and gone for the Kronch salmon oil as it says this will help his joints also. He is on a joint aid but I noticed today after a walk over the field he was getting a bit stiff on his usual back leg so will try this to see if that helps him some more.

I may also look into the fish4dogs or something similar to feed as he seems to have an unsettled tummy yet again. Have got it right for now but this happens every 3-4 months.
