When you need to simmer a sauce pan what mark do you use ???

I have never needed to simmer a saucepan...................

I have put one ON to simmer though.................

Whatever the lowest mark is to prevent it boiling etc.

Well I have an aga , so I all I have it a hot plate and a not so hot plate,

So if I want boil it goes on the hot plate, to simmer it goes on the not so hot plate

I only ask cause i burnt the chilli .lol my simmering was a tad high..

I regularly used to not only burn eggs that I was boiling but also the pans as the water all boiled away. Only noticed by a stench of burning and/or the sound of eggs exploding.

I now have an electric egg boiler.

Oh, and when I was first married I burned cabbage...
