I bought a Sony VA10 laptop from ebay and it is absolutely brilliant. I use it for my business and also (obviously!!!) personal use. I have had more than had my money's worth and paid less than half the going rate for it.
I like the fact that if I am off going to see someone I can just take it with me and show them all they need to know on it.
I will be looking for another I think because it is quite heavy now compared to what is on offer, but I will go for another Sony.

I got a Dell last summer and it's great!
I don't know much about the differences between computers, but I know that the person who bought it for me put a lot of research into specifications etc and they decided Dell was the way to go.
Hope this helps xx

I'd try your smaller, independent computer shops Foxy rather than the major stores.I bought this one (an Acer Travelmate) from one in town which was marked up at £460,but after a bit of haggling-i got it for £390.

I agree. MESH are really good and quite cheap compared to PC World etc. Also when my computer broke the aftersales service was brilliant.

I have a Samsung M40 but I find its too big. I need a table to put it on.
If I were to do it again, my money would be with Dell

Dell direct, at least from them you'll have support and warranty. We use them at work and find them easy to deal with. Never had any problems.
