I would say so, it's just like a normal vacumm where the nozzle sucks, but the body hovers instead of being on wheels! Cool eh?! But perhaps a bit pricey? Not sure about hoover prices!

I've got the Dyson Animal one, think it's the DCO7 either way it's the upright purple one and I think it's fantastic, I've got a seperate floor tool for the kitchen though (can't be bothered sweeping ! ) I've had it for about a year or more and never had any problem with it, though I remember reading in the paperwork I should wash the filters every year, I havent dont that yet, I dont know how too Can anyone tell me ?

Oreck here, fantastic cleaner. Have had it over 6 years and it's still going strong. Wouldn't swap it for the world

I've got a DC01, DC07 and a Meile, and out of all of them, the DC07 is the best, it's not even an animal one. Having three dogs that seem to be moulting forever, it's picked the hair up without any probs

The Meile has a pet foot and I've got to say, it's cr*p in comparison to the DC07. Only draw back is the Dyson is quite heavy.
