Direct Line anyone?

Iv had a quote from direct line for £14.07 for my 11 month old lab, its £6000 per condition and conditions that have been claimed on are not excluded after i renew next year( the £6000 has to last the lifetime basically) i thought this all sounds really good as you can have lots of claimes all in the same year on different conditions. Excess is £80, has anyone got any good/bad experiences of direct line (advanced policy)

He is insured with petplan at the moment but it is £29 a month! id also thought about axa? iv used them in the past and there about £18 p/month.
Any advice would be great!

I am with Direct Line and have been for donkeys years.

My Labrador is knocking on a bit now as he is 9 years old and his policy is £30 a month which isn't too bad.

No complaints. They have always been easy to deal with and quick to pay up. All three of my dogs are insured with them.

I'm with them too but so far haven't claimed, I switched from AXA who were ridiculously slow at paying out. All my other stuff ( car/house ) is with DL and they've always been great.

thanks for the replies guys its a mindfield this insurance thing! DL are half the price that iv been paying for petplan and the cover seems really good, it makes it easier to switch to DL when you hear from ppl that have used them. My vets say they would deal direct with DL aswell so that will be easier, as i went with petplan thinking that vets would only deal direct with them.

Direct Line paid really quickly when we claimed for Ollie. We had only been with them for around 5 months. It wasn't small claim either £4000.

The reason I don't have Dillon insured with them is he gets lifetime cover and the amount of money is much higher.

I think that's always a good indication, vet's can't hang about for weeks on end for a payment.
