i may be wrong ,but sounding to the o's attitude(or lack of bother about the situation) it probably would of been kinda risky to do anything other than wait for the owner,im guessing the dog hasnt been taught boundries,also,in my expierence even the nicest rotties turn into monsters 'cage guarding' and i reckon to the,dog,it felt like he/she was in just that! just my take on it
