The boys are allowed on the sofa as and when... they sleep on them at night anyway...

They are not allowed to leap on them, or stand on the back of them to bark out of the window; and they wait for their paws to be dried if they have been outside...

As Julie says above, they know we want to sit down too, so will squash up and share (then drape themselves over you anyway)

Lol absolutely found he isn't keen on ants now too - will happily face huge rats but little bitty ants are so much more scary

My house is too small to have 4 bigs dogs sprawled on the floor. The sofa allows a bit of stacking space.

My boy is allowed on the sofa whenever he want, though he does tend to ask first, and when boarding dogs come in if their owners allow them on the sofa then they can come on our sofa too. But I don't allow dogs to play on the sofas. They are for lying on, not jumping around on!

it is yes here too but as of late it is becoming some what squashed on the sofa and now Megan has a poorly leg she has to be kept off, which is really hard to do, so i end up sitting on the floor with Megan how silly am i

Mine are only allowed on if invited Which is anytime someone is sitting down But if we get up out the seat then the dogs get down, they are not allowed on furniture alone.
