Well (not) Wednesday 29th November 2023

Morning all. No it isn't me that isn't well. I am fine, fingers crossed, touch wood and all that. Nope my friend Margaret has gone down with the dreaded lurgy. Not surprised as her hubby has it and the school where she works has it among other illnesses. So I have said don't come here especially as they are one short at her place of work so she will be late leaving. That is of course if she makes it through the day. Wow the sun has just appeared and it is lovely shining through the windows out the front here. So, with that in mind I will go for my usual walk and then go looking for some holly. I just fancy a bit to put on the window sills. Have a good day all and hope you all stay well.

Good morning Brenda and the rest of the follow on gang.

Got the funeral this morning so pottering around getting ready, just had coffee and piece toast.

Lovely morning here quite clear and the sun os def up there. No real plans as I say apart from the above. My sweatshirts and work shirts are in the machine hopeful of getting them on the line before I go out put them in washer pottered off shower etc and then realised not pressed "go" of well
pressed now and about 1/2 way through.

Brenda No reply may not be a "no no" on the dog training some people are not quick at responding. Hope Margaret feels better shortly, a lot of it going around. Glad you also have sunshine and if you were nearer would let you have some of my holly from the garden will be using it myself shortly as well for some front door wreaths.

Chris Glad Dave is making step towards "health" when is your lad and grandson due down you need to get writing.

Sue I hope no more diversions ofr issues in the school run this morning. Did you collect all your leaves? and any news on getting the trees "sorted"?

Griff Have agreat day whatever you do.

Lynn As always in my thoughts and "HUGS"

Right people catch you all later.

Thanks Kazz. I went into the local garden centre in the village and they said there is a dirth, his word of holly this year. So, I went up to the florist and bought artificial of holly arrangement and some artificial mistletoe. It will do.

Good morning everyone

Have a nice walk in the sun Brenda. Shame about Margaret but you certainly done't want the lurgy.

Hope the funeral goes well Kazz.

Raining when I got up but b=y the time I left for the school run it had stopped. Teazle walked, tip run done with the latest collection of leaves and now coffee. No Kazz no further with the trees. The council workers never seem to be there to answer their phones and the person who is meant to been charge is away until the beginning of next week. They also don't answer e-mails (don't know what we pay them for)

Take care everyone

Good afternoon everyone.
I have had a quick flick through and brenda I hope Margaret feels better soon.
Schools are dreadful breeding grounds for illness.
Sorry to hear about your work colleague Kazz I hope today goes as well as funerals can go.
Sue good luck with helping Ben with the car hunt.
brenda everything crossed the call comes for the training.
Chris I hope yourselves and Teddy are doing well.
griff not sure what you have done to your wrist but I hope it is healing well.

Update on the recovery of Brewster.
The last couple of weeks have been hard, but we are slowly coming out the other side.
He can now have walks on lead and after finishing the phone consult earlier his consultant has agreed to 3 walks a day if he needs them and also to get him back out into the world and socialising and agrees with garden centre visits and the Bens yard pop up shop courtyard where he can sit and watch while we drink coffee.
No off lead time yet in the garden unless we can guarantee he will do no jumping or running and sudden stops, which we can't so another 4 weeks before we can let him off in the garden or anywhere else for that matter.
In 4 weeks time he can have gentle play off lead with calmer dogs if we know of any to continue with his learning his doggy manners.

He pointed out the trouble is as we know these large breeds are prone to orthopedic issues anyway but in one so young while still growing is more challenging. So we have to be extra careful with the healing of the shoulder.
We are finding hemp oil, cbd oil Ashwaganda and I have some harder hitting stuff arriving soon. These things with the walks are helping.
We now have the possibility of separation anxiety that's what the harder hitting stuff is for it will sedate him lightly while we start going out for short periods to start getting him used to being alone at times.
Fingers crossed that will work or maybe after walks he will not need it.

So that's about it folks slightly better and no worse. Maybe some other challenges along the way.

Thank you for all the hugs Kazz.

Rung the drs for Steve's blood results to be told again that they can't tell me because he hasn't authorised me....I have been telling him for 6 years, that's 15 minutes of my life I am not getting back

We weren't sure if our sanity would remain but it's hanging in there. Just.
