I am so sorry to hear this Amanda. At least your mum is now free to be with your dad.

Hi all. I'm sorry I didn't post yesterday, but I'm sure you can understand why. However when I got home from the hospice I was overwhelmed by what I found in my letter box. THANK YOU all so much. Firstly, the support and good wishes from the forum has provided an invaluable level of support. When I posted my first post, I was just overwhelmed and needed to rant. I had no idea that this thread would provide so much ongoing comfort and support to me.

Then to find that people care enough to to help out by supporting me caring for Cain is utterly incredible. Although I no longer have to spend prolonged periods at the hospice, I still have an awful lot to do. There's all the admin to be sorted, a funeral to arrange and attend and an entire house and a life time's worth of belongings to eventually be sorted. It's going to be a busy and emotional couple of weeks, and knowing that I can rely of Cain being walked will help so much. I can relax knowing that Cain is being cared for, and I will have a brief break from the stress which is walking Cain (its always a challenge, but emotionally I would probably find walks even tougher right now).

I actually cried when I opened the card. To know that people care this much is incredible, I'm struggling to find the words to say just how touched I am. I am SO grateful, I really can't express it in writing.
