I have spoken to the vet (not my usual one but at the same surgery) and they said by what I have described they are not concerned?? Has anyone heard of the wound naturally opening to allow weeping?

Hi Donna it may not be as bad as it looks because this is just the external layer of skin you can see, there should be stitched layers inside. However I would not be too happy with that, it looks as if the stitches may have come adrift so I would go back now and have it looked at to prevent further problems later. (Sorry I am a fuss pot )

Tbh, it reminds me of my own cesarean site when it got infected after my second child. (Except I wasn't so hairy and my nipples ain't that low... )
I agree with the others get her off to the vet asap.

So did I but the vet said its a natural defence to rid the system of foreign bodies because of the op??

i havent heard of that any chance you could call again speak to another vet or insite they see her just to be safe

Hope it all went well,Zanta's wound wasn't open like that after she was speyed and she had a special bandage on it also.
