Lasagne Pasta

Has anyone any magic tips on how to break Lasagne pasta strips to fit the dish without them going into little bits?!! Have wasted so much just now, it drives me mad!!! this is the stuff that needs no pre-cooking.

Could you just soak them for a few mins in hot water to soften them slightly, then chop to shape with a knife or scissors?

Make your own fresh pasta and then cut it to whatever shape you wish!! It's actually quite simple to make as well albeit a bit messy!

Other than that I just get as much of my hands as possible on either side of sheet I want to split and split it that way as it provides more support to the sheet and stops it shattering so easily. Or should do!!

It's easy! It's only egg and pasta flour and is fairly quick to do! I use the recipe off Jamie's website. Give it a try!

I just break the bits as best I can and fill the missing bits in with other bits of pasta that have broken off the pasta sheet. Bit like a pasta jigsaw Doesn't notice when it's cooked as all the sauces are mingled in with the pasta. I'm not one to make a fuss though, so long as it tastes good, I'm happy!!!!

Use a bigger dish and leave gaps between the sheets.

I actually sought out a rectangle dish ( a clear pyrex one) which fits 3 sheets perfectly across! so much easier
