New TV Series on rescue dogs

Just thought I would let you know in case you were not aware. Channel 5, 7.30 next Tuesday 1st Feb starts a 13 part documentary called Extraordinary dogs. It is all about rescue dogs, i.e dogs that rescue, not dogs that have been rescued. Looks really good.

That sounds good. Will have to be reminded though, if someone can, as my memory is next to useless at the mo!

In the write up it says the documentary has gathered 39 amazing real life canine stores from over 15 countries including UK. The first episode covers canine lifeguards at The Italian School of Water Rescue where they learn to swim long distances, pull dinghies and even jump out of helicopters. Other episodes cover dogs trained to deal with natural disasters such as earthquakes and finding missing people across New Zealand, whether in snow-capped mountainous South Island or in the hot pools of Rotorua. Also covers Alaskan huskies as they take part in Australia's only snow-based sled dog race.
