Dementia

Hi all, I have a 15 year old gorgeous x collie who has diabetes and is blind. Approx 8 weeks ago she started pacing and crying in the evenings from about 8pm onwards and the only thing that helped was a short walk. However once back home the pacing and crying started again and often went on for hours. Many many short walks later but the pacing and crying continued. she does however seem ok during the day. Started using selgian tablets 3 weeks ago but they don't seem to have had any effect so far, apart from seeming to reduce her energy. In desperation for her I tried a DAP diffuser of Friday night and by Saturady evening she got her first relatively peaceful night (was so lovely to see her more relaxed). Does anyone have any knowledge of selgian tablets - do they have an effect on energy levels, is it worth carrying on for longer with them etc. All advice would be very welcomed.

Thanks for your post Milella. Sadly my gorgeous girl passed away last November, she was exactly 15.5 years old. I miss her dreadfully, but the time was right for her.
