I don't and I feel I have no reason to.

Oh, I usually always have fun at these shows. Seeing all the dogs, meeting up with friends I wouldn't normally see, getting all the dogs together, socialisation for the dogs. It's great.

So where has all this venom towards her come from. She was right to complain.
Maybe you should read from page 1 .. I was very upset to find the dog in question is my dog so read the first few pages and think of the Ess in question as your own beloved pet ..

I have read the thread from page 1. If Westie N had said that your dog was ugly or something along those lines then I could understand someone being upset. She said your dog was a pedigree, that's all, so what is wrong with that. Is your dog a pedigree?

my thoughts exactly.. We do discuss dogs we meet and people and peoples children tbh... if we all stopped there would be allot less posts on this forum...

TBH if It was me I would complain also.. in my opinion I also would never allow a 2 year old to handle a dog any time let alone in a busy show type situation.. ok my own dog is a great family pet but its the what ifs that scare me!

I have only posted one post in this thread but I have been following it and feel I have to respond to what you have posted.

Yes, Westie N is right to report it to the people running the show as they were the ones at fault, but the reason she is getting flak as you put it . I think iss because she will not accept that ESS entered her little boy in the class in good faith not realising it was a heat for scrufts, but thought it was a child's handling class, and the officials did not tell her otherwise.

Now as if i allowed my 2 yrs old to handle my dog himself .. Do not be so silly .. As i said i am an innocent party in this and being made feel like the offender .. We had a fun day and thats what the idea was .. Genuine mistake by the organisers obviously but i am not the one whom will be feeling embaressed or mortified ..

I am very sorry I must have misunderstood, I thought it was child handler is it different to companion show child handler? I've not been to a scruffts show!

The comment 'with docked tail may i add' - and bearing in mind the tone the letter is written in indicates to me the writer has a problem with that ie possible thinking along the lines of illegal docking?? When asked about this several times i get just because she wanted to?? .. The comments stating people like me ruin shows for others is offencive to myself when my intention was to contribute to charity and have fun .. The not understanding why i dont feel mortified or embaressed is also ridiculous .. Shall i go on?? .. If you are asking about my dog you obviously have not read from the start ..

How many times do I have to say I have read it from the start. Why I asked was your dog a pedigree, was because that is the whole point of this thread. Your dog is a pedigree and not a crossbreed which the class was for. That is what Westie N was complaining to the organizers about. Your answer to my question would have been 'yes my dog is a pedigree', so therefore Westie is right your dog should not have been allowed to be in those classes that were for crossbreeds. I am not saying you are at fault for entering the dog, if you say you didn't read the signs, but the organizers are at fault for allowing firstly a pedigree dog in and then a 2 year old to handle said dog.
