He's a bit sad.

The lump doesn't seem to bother him in the slightest but he's a bit sensitive (and proud) so he's not chuffed about having a wee baldy patch.

Well that was fairly swift.

The vet has her own little cytology lab. She did a needle extraction and will do a test on the sample of fluid for all the normal problems and call me at home later on.

If it's nothing she can diagnose in her lab they're going to cut the whole lump out and send it away for more detailed analysis.

Well the vet phoned me back having run the tests. The bump 'juice' is 'all clear' so really nothing to worry about.

She asked if we wanted her to remove the bump or if we wanted to just keep an eye on it and see how it goes. Because it's never really bothered him we've decided to keep an eye on it - we can always get it removed later if we so wish.
