Dog's dreaming

Just heard Bella dreaming, paws twitching, whimpering, why does it sound like an unpleasant dream? I almost want to wake her up

Aww bless, chasing a wabbit!

I've heard never to wake a dog in dream, because it can cause them to spasm, or have a fit?!

Not too sure how true this is...but I've never woke mine.

No I couldn't wake her, I thought the same as they say that you shouldn't wake kids up during a nightmare so wouldn't want to distress her further or even ruin her dream pleasant or not

Hehe, Dougal does that all the time, we get ear twitches, paws going, whimpering and even the odd bark. I suspect he's chasing the galloping biscuit rather than rabbits.

If it sounds too bad I usually just stroke his head, he settles down after that.

Pereg jerks, twitches, shivers, whimpers - and as she sleeps on the bed with me it wakes me, so I reach out an arm to touch her, and say shhhhhhh - hoping that she really was just dreaming and it was not something else.......

Hi, my dog has dreams everytime he falls asleep ever since he was a pup, he is now 14 years 10 months and still dreams, if it gets too intense we normally call his name and he wakes up, but I would love to know what they dream about!

My dog makes funny little noises when hes asleep. His paws also move. And he snores really loudly.

My little duck toller, sleeps on her back with her paws in the air, and waves her paws when shes asleep.
