The good news is that the cancer has not spread to anywhere else in Roxy's body. The not so good news is that, because of where it is, it's likely that they won't get good margins, even if a flap was done (even that's risky because of the tumour site), so she has been put on steriods to try and reduce the size of it a bit to make the surgery more successful. They've shaved and circled it to monitor its size. If they don't get it all it with good margins, it will probably spread and she will not be cured.

Back on Monday to see if it has shrunk and, if it has, she will have surgery on Tuesday. Blood results tomorrow.

However, they said there's also a risk that even if it does shrink, she will still need further treatment in the form of radiotherapy and drug treatment (chemo) because of the type of mast cell tumour they suspect she has, they suspect it's not a grade 1 this time (lowest grade) but it will have to be looked at by pathology first when removed to find out for sure.

We will just have to wait and see. I feel so sorry for Roxy and it's breaking my heart.

Many special {{{vibes}}} that the steroids will shrink the tumour so that Roxy can have successful surgery. She will be in my prayers tonight and every night.

(((hugs))) xx
