Right now I've asked the question thanks very interesting replies

I have decided I am having a summer house instead 10 x 8 then a deck I will put a couple of chairs in there and maybe a sofa (for the girls) a place to sit read and chill.

Nice idea - really nice idea Kazz!

We tore our brick shed down and have turned it into a patio area (kept 2 and a half walls standing) and are really looking forward to using it as a lounging area in summer.

I think your idea of a summer house is a grand idea - you get the best of both, the great outdoors and shelter from the wind, wish we had thought of a summer house, never mind, next house perhaps.

Have you chosen who will supply it to you?

We bought our log cabin off the internet. Went into B&Q and they wanted £1700 for it, we found it online for £1298 it's 12' x 12'!

So definitely worth looking around.

As long as you don't mind sharing with the dogs during the day, I use it as their grooming room, it's got heating, lighting, in fact during the summer holidays the kids (and half the kids in the street) all slept out in it!
