Poor Kumo.. hope he feels better soon Ash. Have they given him any pain killers as well or will he not feel anything anyway?

It's not your fault as you did your best - hope you all feel better soon xx

Thanks Azz

No, the Vet did not offer any pain killers, but I think he could see that Kumo did not seem to be in any discomfort.

He still pigs his food down, like there is no Tomorrow.

Take Care

Ashley...

I'm glad you've gotten to the bottom of it. Sounds like he probably did it on a bone. I just bought my dogs a bag of bones from the butcher. Thanks for sharing this, I'll have to keep an eye out in case something like this happens to them.

I would have opted for no stitches too. Sounds like it would be traumatizing. Hope he feels better, and don't blame yourself!

Don't beat yourself up over it Ash. Some things are just not easy to find if you don't know what you are looking for. You did the right & responsible thing by taking him to the vet. Hope it heals up quickly. I imagine stitches in the tongue would be extremely irritating.

Ash don't feel quilty everything worked out for the best and Kumo will be better in no time. I would let his tongue heal on its own also, wow stitches would hurt

Yeah Bon, the tongue is so sensitive. It makes me wonder how people can pierce it

Yikes I know and I find the ones with the pierced tongues talk funny also. A friend of a friend has her tongue pierced and when she talks I can't stop looking at her mouth LOL.

Well I finally have had the chance to see kumo's tounge. He fell asleep on his bed inside.
and I was able to see his tounge.
It is not just a split like the vet said, there is a big chunk missing.
Not sure how it hapened, but it is healing well.
But it looks YUK...
