Morning Moyra and all to follow.

Happy New year to all two and four legged friends.

Moyra glad the finger is feeling better, toxic oven cleaning stuff is nasty. I bought a Lakeland one not as smelly or quite as toxic.
Fingers crossed for Steve and you him moving on in 2019.
Some of that stuff burns horribly.
brenda hope your finger pain is easing to.
Looking forward to pics Eileen of the new addition.

We had fireworks going on and off all evening and at midnight it was quite noisy thankfully Dillon doesn't get stressed by them.
We are popping out to the Dobbies at Huntingdon later today to maybe get some fish for the tank we can start restocking now we have moved and a bit more settled. Meeting Mark and Lauren there and having lunch together.
Looks like behind the fireplace is bricks then they have been plastered Gorden gave up at about 5 last night due to his batteries running out on his drill.
He has said though once he can get that first brick out the rest should be fairly easy to remove. Looking forward to seeing what we have there and how we can reinstate it.

Hoping everyone has a good day and that all are well and all four legged friends are to.

Happy New Year all. Hope this one's a good 'un for us all.

10 minutes of fireworks at midnight. Sounded like it came from the pub on the seafront. Thankfully, that was all. Rosie doesn't like 'em, but she's not overly stressed out by the bangs.

Gary is coming up for his dinner today which should nicely finish off the fancy foodstuff. A game of dominoes afterwards which he liked at Christmas so hopefully will enjoy today.

No garden centre and lunch out as they are shut today.
Waiting to hear from Mark if we are going there or they are popping over here.

Happy Day all .

Ordered two new armchairs for living room and got a text to say they are being delivered on Sat......Yeah! I had almost forgot. That means going to get my new rug sorted, went online oddly collect from Dunelm same day; delivery 3-4 weeks so looks like a collection. Going to paint the skirting board one evening this week.

Looking for throws for the sofa as Gert hops on there on occasion, prefers her bed or the rug by the door, or on the landing but still.

Oh yes have signed up for the "tuneless choir " one evening a week to get me out.

Have a great day all.

Yes we do. About 7 miles out of Skegness and a 5 minutes walk to the local beach. We are very, very lucky. It's surprising how busy Skegness itself has been over the break. We've been here 12 years and it's the busiest we've seen it over Christmas, but my guess is that a lot of that is down to the Butlins crowd.
