I could never hate you Eh,staircase has been recently sanded down and varnished Heaven forbide I touch them,OH made them and has said "Absolutely not!!" Just the wall panels are being painted,it'll make a huge difference I think If it was painted a paler colour it would be so hard to keep clean TW.Nope the stairs stay as is

Royal purple? I don't think so! Especially since I see light blue on the walls, I think. I personally think the wood looks great as is, but perhaps a dark cream or gray color would be okay. Not really sure of your tastes, but I'd pick something like that.

The idea is good though tumbleweed, maybe do lots of different ones all colour schemes and she can pick the one she likes most.
