Why Pick Up?

My next door neighbour is in her mid-80s. She was picking up dog poo that some idiot had left at the top of her drive and fell resulting in a broken hip. She's unlikely to get over it as she's not in the best of health anyway.

He hubby has dementia. They've taken him into a care home - the same one, it happens, as his brain damaged, middle aged son is in.

Three lives are now ruined and in jeopardy.

All this through one mindless individual who thinks they are too good to clean up after their dog.

Infuriating, isn't it!!!!!

Not infuriating - just disgusting and oh so tragic.

That is so sad, good heavens...it takes a minute to pick up and then just find the nearest refuse container, some people are too lazy to even do that.

So sad just because of one idiot. Where I live you see all the dog walkers with bags in their hands its just the norm here thank goodness.

It's the norm on the estate here too for people to pick up. This has been happening the last two-three weeks and mainly at the top of next door's drive. It's either someone new on the estate, or someone who has decided it's a nice walking route.

Whichever, it is beyond infuriating. I just wish there was a way to let them know what they have done. I thought about putting up a notice, but all that would do is advertise the fact that the bungalow is empty which, in the long run, could cause even more problems

We've got two cameras out front, but haven't used them for ages as it's a very quiet little place.

We've set them up again to the DVD so, hopefully, we might be able to catch and identify the so and so.

A number of neighbours are also on the lookout as our neighbours are very well liked.

It won't change what's happened, but if we can find out who's doing it and tell them exactly what they have caused, it might just make them think and, hopefully, start being more responsible. Dare I also says that I hope it gives them plenty of sleepless nights
