He was rescued in Houston, TX, covered in fleas, with scabs and scars all over the place. His rescuer couldn't deal with his fear and dog aggression, and couldn't foster him. We decided that he would come up here. He flew 1800 miles from Houston to Calgary, AB in February, 2.5 years ago, it was 28C in Houston, it was -25C in Calgary.

He's doing extremely well, and is my special Boy-Dog!

She was rescued from a backyard breeder (we think) in Spokane, WA. She was 4 months old, and kept in an outdoor kennel (born the end of Dec, rescued in April) with "a nice bed of straw to sleep on". She is deaf, sight impaired, missing half a foot (injury, not born that way), and allergic to metal. She knows 23 signs, she loves doing tricks, and is such a sweet little girl. Hopefully she will be going to schools to help a friend of mine and her dogs educate children about dogs this year (We've done a few Girl Guide groups, and she loves working with children!)

Came to me at 6 months via breed rescue a week before Christmas. I was only fostering him supposedly but he ended up staying.

He had "bitten" the child in the house but from the description child dropped food and they both got to it at the same time.

He was the most destructive dog I've ever had ate cloth paper anything he could get hold off. He was also not house trained so spent a lot of time on a house line attached to me and ate through several of those too

Been hard work but he's well worth it

We spotted this little chap in a vast cage at Dog's Trust in Evesham. We specifically were looking for an older dog and perhaps one that nobody else would take. He certainly fitted the bill - he was thin, still dirty despite a couple of baths, and to say he was dispirited was an understatement. Nobody was giving him a second glance. Look at him now........and we adore him!

2. He was born at a beach restaurant to a promiscuous mother and a warrior father. Mother was pure white. The Restaurant owner called the local rescue and told them that he would kill the mother and litter if they were not rescued. We got him, covered in fleas, at 4 weeks. He is the reincarnation of a 15th century Thai feudal lord

He came to me just over 3 years ago at 7 months old, a gibbering wreck of a dog who was so scared he wouldn't stand up, he commando crawled everywhere His coat was in a terrible state, you could see every bone sticking out We did after a few day discover he was blind! but undetered I continued training and confidence building and 3 years later - here he is:

He was rescued 2yrs ago by a BC rescue at the age of 12 months along with his brother and another Collie of a year older. All three were due to be shot as they had failed at their job of being trialling sheepdogs. I first saw his photo posted by his foster mum who i happen to be friends with and fell in Love with him. He was very broken, had no spark at all;was scared stiff of men, didn't know how to play and knew nothing of being loved. With patience, love, and understanding, my boy has come such a long way he is loving, affectionate, and has a temperament to die for, to say i am extremely proud of him would be an understatement.

This boy had 3 homes before he was 2, his last decided they couldn't cope with the dog aggression and we believe asked the vet to PTS, they refused and he went to rescue and to me!!
He is an adorable boy, a credit to the breed and my first dog, he has taught me a huge amount about the breed and the amazing wonder of a dog and all their amazing qualities. His dog aggression we manage and he does have some doggy friends now.
