After seeing this fellas plea for a new home I couldn't help but want him. I travelled a 350 mile round trip to pick him up and he is now with me, his 4th or 5th home in his 18 month life. I have since found he has hip dysplasia & arthritis and am working on making him more comfy.

His previous owner said that his Landlord wouldn't allow animals.

he came with just a Parvo injection ( better that most I admit ) and the family that sold him were middle eastern.

I can't help feeling that he was a puppy farm product but I am one lucky owner to have him in my life.

The photo that persuaded me to buy him at five months.

He was dumped in the pound at the tender age of 13 months, and I knew within minutes of meeting him that I had found 'my' dog.

He simply could not cope with affection, and spent his first month with me sitting bolt upright in a corner, watching me warily. He was quiet, and solitary, and if anyone tried to pet him he would make as though to bite.

He was terrified of many things: motorbikes, men carrying newspapers, umbrellas; the list was endless. Loud sounds made him visibly flinch.

Now - one year on - he is the sweetest boy, and spends most of his time on his back, legs akimbo, waiting for a tummy rub! He adores people and especially children; around them he transforms from a big bouncy Labrador, into the most gentle dog imaginable.

This is my beautiful little greyhound lady, she was bred to race but didnt make the grade and was fortunately taken to the rehoming kennels, she was quiet and scared on arrival but has came on leaps and bounds , becoming a PAT dog and gaining her Bronze and Silver KCGC awards, she is the perfect house guest and a much loved member of the family who is a joy to watch run just because she wants to not because she has to. To see her play and enjoy the world around her brings us all lots of pleasure every day, such a laid back lovely little lady

Came home with us as a private rehome with a multitude of issues at just 8 months old. She was the most subdued Dobermann I have ever met. We are at least her 4th home. She was found wandering the streets in a filthy and very skinny condition with an airgun pellet lodged in her back which had formed a mass the size of a tennis ball. She was taken to Battersea dogs home who contacted her original owner who she was still chipped to, they reclaimed her immediately and set about getting her treated and back to health. They were unable to keep her and so here she is in her forever home, a reformed character, no more stealing, no more using her teeth first and asking questions later, she's become the most trusting and loving dog anyone could wish for.

Rehomed at just 20 weeks as the resident dog had taken an intense dislike to him, resulting in the pair of them constantly fighting. He's a wiley terrier so he soon learnt to get in first. He was well cared for and clearly loved but they couldn't cope with him. He's a typical oikey little terrier and I love the bones of him, he has learnt that there's no need to fight for the right to breathe, that food and treats are plentiful and it doesn't matter if someone nicks yours because mum will always make sure you never go without. He's such a happy playful dog and always up for anything, the kind of dog you can take anywhere and do anything with.

This 10 year old JRT was put into rescue because her owner could no longer cope with her.
She had been in rescue about 2 months, when we saw her, sat in her kennel looking sad and bewildered.
She is friendly to other dogs and humans, very bouncy and loves everyone.
She is a happy little dog who just wants to sit on your lap all day.

I met these eyes behind the bars of a shelter cage at 4pm one Tuesday afternoon. She was covered in bald patches, and scabbed over wounds. Her ribs and hips were painfully obvious. But her matted tail wagged when she saw me, and those eyes looked so deeply into mine, I knew I couldn't leave without her. I was 18 years old, and she would me my first "own" dog. When I adopted her, the shelter worker told me I was saving her life, but really, it was she saving mine. She introduced me to the wonderful world of dog sports. She got me out of the house, going places and meeting people. She has been my one true and constant companion for 12 years. There will never be another like her. She is truly an angel.
