Tip I've gained from showing is, try to keep my head up (not look quite as much at the dog more at the judge) and run the dog in as strait a line as possibe and at the judge so he / she does not have to move .... it's harder than it looks esp if you've got a lively dog. I normally practise running my dog up and down before going in the ring.

Biggest trouble I've had is getting my dog to stand still while being looked over has been very hard work, he's just so friendly he can't not try to make friends with the judge.
