Just thought i would update this...well, i found out why mav isnt that enamoured with agility at our normal place...he doesnt like the surface! dont get me wrong, he is running much better at training on the sand/woodchip surface(if i carry a platic bottle!!) but recently i have taken him training on a grass surface...he's rather errr, mental! I have spent so long hyping him up before training and now it is a case of quietly and calmly around him to try and help regain some control! Rod and own back spring to mind!

Least i dont have a dufus of a dog!

Glad to hear it - I know quite a few dogs dont like to run on a rough loose surface

and I know what you mean too - Ben for ages was slow and ploddy and thoughtfull - he was having fun but thinking about it too much

Now I have to calm him - I actually have to sit on the start line and massage him else he is so excited and barky he headbuts weave poles
- and now I cant use the stick in the ground weaves as he knocks them flying
