I think the phrase Trophy hunter has been surrounded by hysteria , the papers saw to that, once the animal was given an identity and humanised , you will see hysteria from people who would never give a second thought to wild life management before, or to be honest see the hypocrisy in them having no conscience on where their meat is sourced, but cry the loudest about a deer being shot (if it was) and thats not a dig at anyone here, its a generalization.

Trophy hunters to me are those people who go and pay £20k to go to a park in Africa, where the prey are reared and released in the park with no escape for someone to bag a loin or what ever...then have their pic taken with it.



That is what constitutes trophy hunting to me... their is no management in such a sport, its for the sheer pleasure of killing a loin

Thats actually called 'canned hunting' Jackie and i absolutely detest people who participate in it.This is nothing to do with conservation and just pure greed when they charge $10,000 for a lion etc.

The result for the deer is exactly the same as the result for the lion.

They are dead and the person who did it enjoyed doing it.

And they don't enjoy killing at all, they do it as a public service so that the rest of us are not overtaken by other species.
They'd much rather be at home in the warm.
